Conditions can lead to longer wait for service
We strive to provide quick and sound service yet current conditions can in some cases lead to longer wait times than usual. This is because part of Landsbankinn’s employees now work in two groups, on shifts or from home, in accordance with directions from the Director of Health during the Covid-19 outbreak. At the same time, queries and various requests have multiplied, as expected under stressed conditions.
These conditions can be expected to last for a while longer, including around the turn of the month. We thank our customers for their patience and ask that the bear with us going forward.
Request phone consultation
Due to Covid-19, we only handle urgent matters, which cannot be dealt with via other channels, with direct contact in branches and then only by appointment. Appointments for service must be pre-arranged. This is done by first requesting a phone consultation on landsbankinn.is.
We encourage our customers to use Landsbankinn’s app, online banking and self-service equipment located around Iceland. The location of such equipment is listed in the app and on landsbankinn.is. We are of course ready to assist via phone and web chat.
Banking service without visiting a branch
Because of Covid-19, many customers who usually visit branches to tend to their banking business must utilise other service channels. Information on various solutions can be found on the Bank's website.
