Delays in transfers to Íslandsbanki 14-17 September
During the period 14-17 September, Íslandsbanki in collaboration with the Icelandic Banks' Data Centre (RB), will implement a new deposit and payment system. While this process is on-going, the account statements of Íslandsbanki’s customers will not be updated and there will be delays to instalments on credit cards.
Impact on Landsbankinn customers
As advertised by Íslandsbanki, the implementation process will begin on Friday, 14 September, and the aim is to finish on Monday, 17 September. Íslandsbanki has encouraged its customers to complete necessary banking transactions before the weekend, if at all possible, to avoid difficulties.
During the implementation process, online banking services and the function of Íslandsbanki’s app will be curtailed. As a result, information on transfers from Landsbankinn accounts to Íslandsbanki accounts will not appear instantaneously in Íslandsbanki’s online banking but no later than when implementation of the new system is finalised. Transferred funds will be accessible through the use of debit cards. Instalments to credit cards issued by Kreditkort hf. and Borgun will not go towards raising limits on such cards until Monday.
Landsbankinn’s customers can send transfer receipts via email in both online banking and the Landsbankinn app, free of cost.
