Award for best CSR report

Festa, Stjórnvísi and the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce have selected Landsbankinn's Report on Social Responsibility as the best CSR report of 2018. This is the first time this award is granted.

The panel of judges found Landsbankinn's Report on Social Responsibility to be exemplary and award it the distinction of best CSR report of 2018. “From reading the report, it is clear that the Bank’s CSR strategy is shaped with extensive input from employees and that CSR is an integral part of the Bank’s operation. The report provides an in-depth overview of selected metrics and year-on-year comparisons are presented graphically. The reader achieves a good understanding of the scope and development of CSR, and the goals and key projects reported on,” so the judging panel. Layout and presentation receives mention for clarity and for providing the general public with easy overview of individual aspects of CSR, as well as a comprehensive overview of CSR as practised by the Bank. Readers are also given the opportunity to explore the issues more deeply. The report is balanced and includes aspects of the Bank’s operation that might be seen as negative yet are unavoidable aspects of the business.

The panel’s conclusion can be read in full on the website of Festa (In Icelandic)
