As a result of the deployment of the new deposit and payment system of the Icelandic Banks' Data Centre (RB) and Landsbankinn, the presentation of account statements will change on 20 November. This change will affect certain of the Bank's customers, including those who use automatic reconciliation of accounts in accounting systems.
Due to the change, any cost that has accrued to the claim, e.g. because it was paid after the final date for payment, will be included in a single debit entry on bank account statements instead of appearing as a separate entry as before (one for costs, such as penalty interest, and one for the principal and coupon fee). This may lead to a discrepancy between transaction statements and payment batches generated by accounting systems.
Landsbankinn will release a software update to facilitate reconciliation of enterprise accounting systems to this change. Until the update becomes available, affected customers will only be able to view itemisation in online banking, both under "Payment search" and "Paid batches". B2B queries for payment batches will not change, nor import of claim payments.
